Microsoft announced that it will raise the prices of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions starting September 12th. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will jump to $19.99 a month, while PC Game Pass will increase to $11.99 a month. These changes come ahead of adding highly anticipated games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to the service. To balance the pricing increase, Microsoft is introducing a new “standard” subscription option for $14.99 a month, which won’t include day-one access to first-party Xbox games. Existing subscribers will keep their current plans, but new subscribers won’t have access to the console-only subscription option starting July 10th. This new standard option will also include online console multiplayer access, providing a more comprehensive gaming experience. Microsoft's goal is to offer a range of subscription choices to cater to different types of gamers.
