The NBA and network executives have signed lucrative contracts with NBC and Amazon Prime Video, extending to 11 seasons and valued at $76 billion, making them new partners in addition to the existing ABC/ESPN deal for the NBA Finals. While TNT Sports has the option to match, CEO David Zaslav of Warner Bros. Discovery is considering targeting Amazon. Approval by the NBA governors is the next step, expected to be a formality following meetings in Las Vegas. The new agreements promise an increase in national telecasts throughout the regular season, with NBC and Amazon following the NFL's time slots for high viewership. All platforms will cover playoff games, with Amazon hosting the In-Season Tournament and alternating conference finals with NBC. Despite ESPN's successful deal with the NBA, TNT Sports faces uncertainty in its future broadcasts.
