Apple has introduced a new feature called “InSight” for Apple TV app with tvOS 18 and iOS 18, similar to Amazon Prime Video's X-Ray feature but for Apple TV+. Although not initially available in the first betas, it is now working for iOS 18 beta 3 and tvOS 18 beta 3 users. InSight provides information about actors, characters, and songs in Apple TV+ movies or shows with just a tap, allowing users to explore related content. It is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, with the added convenience of using the virtual Remote on iPhone. Alongside InSight, tvOS 18 brings Smart Subtitles, 21:9 aspect ratio support, a redesigned Apple Fitness+ app, Live Captions for FaceTime, new screen savers, and more for Apple TV users. Developers can preview tvOS 18 now, with a public release expected in the fall.
