The studio behind Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD remaster for Switch has been revealed as Tantalus Media, known for their work on Nintendo remasters like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Originally developed by Next Level Games for the 3DS, the HD remaster of Luigi’s Mansion 2 is set to release on June 27. The game, known in North America as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, was part of Nintendo’s Year of Luigi celebrations in 2013. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has been praised for its visual improvements while staying true to the original game's charm, making it a worthwhile release for fans. Despite some control issues, VGC considers it a strong Nintendo remaster, alongside the critically acclaimed Luigi’s Mansion 3 released exclusively for the Switch in 2019.
