Google Photos has simplified access to the Locked Folder feature on Android and iOS devices. Previously hidden within the Utilities section, the Locked Folder can now be easily accessed by users next to Favorites, Archive, and Trash. This change streamlines the process of safeguarding sensitive photos and videos. The redesign also relocates other features that were previously under Utilities to the 'plus' sheet in the app bar, making it easier for users to create new albums, collages, highlight videos, and more. The move aims to improve functionality and accessibility within the app. Although Google Photos on the web already featured the Locked Folder in the navigation drawer, the new mobile update brings uniformity across devices. With this update, Google continues to enhance the user experience and security of its photo management service.
