Spotify has introduced a new Basic paid plan priced at $10.99 per month, offering a small discount in exchange for dropping audiobook access. The plan includes all music benefits like ad-free playback but does not include audiobook listening time. This option is in contrast to the $11.99 Premium Individual plan, which includes 15 hours of monthly audiobook listening from a library of over 250,000 titles. Previously, Spotify did not offer a plan without audiobook access, but now customers who do not want this feature can enjoy the lower $10.99/month price. This move brings Spotify's pricing in line with Apple Music, making them equally priced for their base music subscription service. Other plans such as Duo and Family remain priced at $16.99 and $19.99, respectively, with a $9.99 plan still offering audiobook listening with ad-supported music.
