In a recent APK teardown, Android Authority managed to manually activate the offline device lock feature. This feature will lock your device if it detects a potential thief disconnecting it for an extended period. Surprisingly, the offline device lock feature only auto-locks twice per day, a detail not mentioned in Google's announcement. Users in Brazil can access these new features through beta testing, but there is no timetable for a wider release.
