The city of New York is offering 10,000 free tickets to prime viewing spots on the West Side for the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks show. Mayor Eric Adams announced that the tickets, distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis, will grant access to either Pier 45 near West 10th Street or Pier 84 near West 44th Street. In past years, the NYPD had faced criticism for reserving the best viewing spots for private parties, excluding the public from enjoying the spectacle.
