A company has introduced automated ammunition vending machines in some grocery stores in Oklahoma, providing a new way for residents over the age of 21 to purchase ammo. The vending machines, located in Noble, Kingston, Lindsay, and Wetumka, require customers to make a selection on a tablet and scan their ID before completing the purchase. To ensure safety, the machines also scan the customer's face, using a 92-point facial recognition system. This advanced technology aims to prevent minors from using false identification to buy ammunition, promoting a secure and responsible shopping experience. CEO of American Rounds, Grant Magers, emphasizes that these vending machines are the safest route for buying ammo in the country. Despite some safety concerns raised by viewers, the machines are designed with stringent security measures to protect against unauthorized purchases and ensure compliance with age restrictions.
