Princess Catherine, the Princess of Wales, expressed her regrets at not being able to attend the final rehearsal of the Trooping of the Color parade, a tradition in honor of the king's birthday. In a heartfelt letter to the Irish Guards, of whom she is the honorary colonel, she apologized for her absence and praised their dedication. The event, known as the Colonel's Review, precedes the grand parade to be overseen by King Charles III on June 15. Princess Kate's absence is due to her ongoing cancer treatment, which has led her to step back from public duties. The palace has not indicated when she will return to work. Despite their own health challenges, both Kate and the king have shown resilience and commitment to their duties. The Irish Guards expressed gratitude for Princess Kate's message and extended their best wishes for her recovery.
