Shelley Duvall, the acclaimed actress known for her work with Robert Altman and Stanley Kubrick, has passed away at the age of 75. Duvall won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her role in Altman's "3 Women" and starred in Kubrick's "The Shining." Throughout her career, she worked on a variety of films, including Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" and Altman's "Popeye." Her iconic role as Olive Oyl showcased her unique screen presence and oversized eyes. Despite facing challenges during the intense filming of "The Shining," Duvall continued to deliver powerful performances. In addition to her acting career, she produced a series of children's anthology shows in the 1980s. After retiring from acting in 2002, Duvall led a reclusive life but remained fondly regarded in her Texas community. Her return to acting in 2023 with the indie horror film "The Forest Hills" marked a brief comeback. She is survived by her partner, Dan Gilroy.
