Despite the rainy weather, King Charles's second Trooping the Colour as monarch showcased the enthusiasm of the British royal family. Following a trend of fewer balcony appearances in recent years, only 15 members of the royal family gathered at Buckingham Palace, including senior working royals, their children, and non-working spouses. King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were all in attendance. Also present were King Charles's siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, as well as other family members such as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Lady Louise Windsor, and Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. Notably absent was Princess Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth's first cousin. As the monarch continues to shape the future of the royal family, the smaller balcony gathering at Trooping the Colour reflects a more streamlined and focused approach to public appearances.
