Samsung is gearing up for its Galaxy Unpacked launch event while also working on the One UI 7.0 update for existing devices. A recent discovery revealed a Galaxy S23 Ultra unit running One UI 7, based on Android 15, indicating ongoing software development for current models.
The US carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy S23 Ultra was spotted in the Geekbench database with Android 15, likely paving the way for One UI 7.0 for Samsung's smartphones and tablets. Following Google's recent platform stability announcement for Android 15, Samsung appears to be testing the software on existing phones before launching public beta testing through the One UI 7.0 Beta Program in the coming months.
Future high-end phones from the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series are expected to receive the stable version of One UI 7.0 after a period of testing, with promises of extended Android OS and security updates for select models.
