SpaceX aims to make its Starlink satellite internet more affordable and accessible worldwide with the launch of a compact "Mini" antenna priced at $599. The portable kit is designed to provide high-speed, low-latency internet on the go, with download speeds exceeding 100 Mbps. In addition to the upfront hardware cost, service for the Starlink Mini is $150 per month, including a $30 monthly bundle on top of the standard Residential service. The antenna is about the size and weight of a laptop, making it half the size and one-third the weight of the standard model. The Mini Roam service, limited to 50 gigabytes of data per month, can be used anywhere in the US. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk touts the Mini's easy setup of less than five minutes and asserts that it will "change the world." With 6,000 satellites in orbit connecting over 3 million customers in 100 countries, Starlink continues to expand its offerings beyond consumers, targeting markets like national security, enterprise, mobility, maritime, and aviation.
