The Trooping the Colour ceremony in London for King Charles' official birthday was a spectacular event. Despite the Princess of Wales' first public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer stealing the spotlight, the procession of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages was a sight to behold. The parade, including over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, 400 musicians, and a regimental mascot Irish Wolfhound named Turlough Mor, marched to Horse Guards Parade from Buckingham Palace. Unique images from the event included Joseph Afrane dressed up on The Mall, a cardboard Catherine and Charles with hobbyhorses, and royal servants preparing for Wimbledon. The Band of the Irish Guards, led by the beloved Irish wolfhound Seamus, marched into Windsor Castle for the traditional ceremony of New Colours being presented. Despite the rain, patriotic spectators enjoyed the event, capturing scenes of British summertime at its finest.
