The royal family concluded this year’s Trooping the Colour festivities with the traditional appearance on Buckingham Palace’s iconic balcony to watch the Royal Air Force flypast. King Charles III and Queen Camilla were joined by Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children. Other members included Prince Edward, Princess Anne, and various dukes and duchesses. The balcony gathering dates back to the mid-19th century, with no strict rules on who can participate. This year’s event also marked Princess Kate's return to the public eye after undergoing cancer treatment. Despite her appearance at the ceremony, she emphasized in a letter that her full-time return to work is still uncertain as she continues to prioritize her health and healing process. Trooping the Colour, held annually in June, celebrates the reigning monarch’s birthday.
