Disney World's Splash Mountain ride, criticized for promoting racial stereotypes, has been replaced by Tiana's Bayou Adventure, inspired by "The Princess and the Frog." The new attraction follows a similar format but reflects a more inclusive and diverse narrative. Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that the previous theme was no longer appropriate in today's world, leading to calls for change amid nationwide protests in 2019. Despite petitions to save Splash Mountain, the ride closed in January 2023. Tiana's Bayou Adventure offers a fresh take on the beloved characters and story, with a focus on music and a new song performed by talented musicians. The opening of this new attraction signals a new chapter for Disney World, with Disneyland Park in California set to introduce its own version of Tiana's Bayou Adventure soon.
