Henley & Partners' Private Wealth Migration Report 2024 predicts that more millionaires will be leaving China than any other nation, with an estimated 15,200 high-net-worth individuals with at least $1 million in liquid assets set to depart. This trend is consistent with previous years, as China continues to experience the highest net loss of millionaires. The UK and India follow in the ranking of countries with the most departing millionaires. Reasons for this exodus include business opportunities, lifestyle preferences, and concerns about taxes and safety. In contrast, the United Arab Emirates is projected to be the most popular destination for millionaires, with a net influx of 6,700 individuals. This mass movement of wealth is attributed to geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty, and social upheaval, prompting millionaires to "vote with their feet" in record numbers.
