Tragic Accident at California Theme Park: Disneyland Employee Dies in Golf Cart Fall

60-year-old Bonnye Mavis Lear, a long-time Disneyland employee, tragically passed away just two days after falling off a golf cart in the backstage area of the California theme park. The Orange County coroner confirmed that Lear died from her injuries sustained in the fall on Friday. The Anaheim Police Department responded to the accident, which occurred backstage at the park, around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Lear, who had been with the Disneyland Resort for 24 years, worked in membership services at Club 33, a private dining club at the park. Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock expressed heartbreak over Lear's death and offered condolences to her loved ones and colleagues. The park is focused on providing support to her family and cast members during this tragic time. Disneyland has yet to comment on the incident.
