Warren Buffett has been a key supporter of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, donating over $39 billion in the past 15 years. However, the 93-year-old philanthropist recently revealed that his support for the foundation may end with him. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Buffett stated that his will does not include any further explicit pledges of charity to the organization after his passing. Instead, his remaining wealth of around $127 billion will be bequeathed to a charitable trust overseen by his three children. While this decision does not rule out future donations to the Gates Foundation, Buffett emphasized that his children will have the final say in how his billions will be spent. This news comes as a second recent blow to the Gates Foundation, following Melinda French Gates’ resignation in May.
