WhatsApp is reportedly developing a new generative AI feature that will enable users to create personalized avatars for use in various virtual settings. The feature, discovered in the WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.14.7, will utilize user-supplied images, text prompts, and Meta's AI Llama model to generate these unique avatars. Users will have the ability to place themselves in different settings, ranging from forests to outer space, by simply providing a description in Meta AI chat. The avatars, reminiscent of those created by AI generators like Lensa AI and Snapchat's "Dreams" selfie feature, can be easily generated by typing "Imagine me" with a description of the desired setting. Although the feature is optional, users will need to manually enable it in the WhatsApp settings. Additionally, they can delete the reference images stored in Meta AI settings at any time. This innovative feature is set to revolutionize personalization in messaging platforms.
