Apple unveiled the highly-anticipated iPadOS 18 during WWDC 2024, introducing a range of new features such as Apple Intelligence and advanced Notes tools. The update, set to launch in the fall, promises better home screen customization and a high-tech Calculator app. However, not all iPad models will be able to run the new software. The supported devices include the iPad Pro (M4), iPad Air (M2), and iPad mini (5th generation and later), among others. Unfortunately, iPads with the A10X Fusion chip, such as the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and iPad (6th generation), will not be compatible with iPadOS 18. Alongside the iPadOS update, Apple also introduced iOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2, with the highlight being Apple Intelligence, a revolutionary AI system designed to enhance the user experience across Apple devices. Public versions of the software are expected to launch in September or October after public beta testing in July.
