Xbox Game Pass is set to increase its prices in a phased rollout this year, with new subscribers seeing updated prices from July 10 and current subscribers affected starting September 12. The US will see Game Pass Ultimate prices rise from $17 to $20 per month, while the yearly Game Pass Core subscription will increase from $60 to $75. Microsoft has provided a detailed graph of regional price changes.
In addition, a new, more affordable option called Xbox Game Pass Standard will be introduced in September. This plan offers access to Game Pass titles without some perks of the Ultimate package, like day one releases and Xbox Cloud Gaming, but includes online multiplayer, store discounts, and other Core plan features for $15 per month.
Furthermore, Xbox Game Pass for Console will no longer be available to new customers, indicating a shift in Microsoft's subscription offerings. Existing plan holders will need to select a different option upon renewal.
